Causes breast cancer;
- Family history
- Being overweight
- Lack of physical exercise
- No breastfeeding
- Alcohol and Tobacco use
- Early onset of menstrual period
- late age at first child birth
Signs and symptoms of breast cancer;
- A change in size of the breast
- dischargement from one or both
- Thickening in the breast or lump in it
- Change in position or shape of nipple
- Rash around the nipples
- Constant pain in the breast or armpit.
Screening can be done by trained health worker,

- surgery
- radiation
- or hormone therapy.

It is recommended to create awareness of breast cancer, is to empower woman to take responsibility for their health.
Best time to undertake Breast Self – Examination
- 17-10 days after the first day of the menstrual period
- If not menstruating, pick a certain day-such as the first day of each month
- If taking hormones, then do it 1-2 days after withdrawal bleeding
