Is a type of cancer that occurs in the cells of the cervix, which is the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. screening or regular check up for cervical cancer important since during the early stages, women may experience no symptom and is the most treatable cancer when detect at early stage. The common method for screening of cancer is VIA (visual inspection with acetic acid). screening is normally done by trained nurse or trained Doctor or Gynaecologist.

Risk factors for Cervical cancer;

  • Multiple sexual pantners
  • unprotect sex
  • Early marriage
  • Early age at first child birth
  • smoking
  • High number of childbirth and pregnancy

Signs and symptom of cervical cancer;

  • Pain during urination
  • Pelvic pain
  • Pain during sexual intercourse
  • Bleeding between period
  • Bleeding after sexual intercourse
  • Bleeding in post – menopausal woman
  • Fatige
  • Vaginal discharge with blood
  • Foul smelling during vaginal discharge
